1880 Union Hotel Wedding Venue
Welcome to the wild wild west!
The 1880 Union Hotel just screams wild west! The owners of the Newhall Mansion invited me to photograph a stylized photo session for their brand new location in Los Alamos. I had an amazing time with my models Chase Yost and Sara Sessler. They both did an awesome job! If you’re looking for an old rustic hotel with a saloon next this is the place for you. Its like stepping back in time. The 1880 was built by Wells Fargo as a stagecoach stop in the late nineteenth century. The Old West hotel can now serve as an extravagant hotel and hosts weddings for up to 200 guests.
Special thanks to Tricia Dahlgren Events for helping coordinate and designing the shoot. Tricia and her team are hands down the best wedding planners on the planet. Cruz’s Bridal for lending me a beautiful wedding dress and to Myra over at Celebrate for designing a lovely wedding bouquet.

I just loved how the couple photographed against the old wood that covers the 1880 Union Hotel
The natural light that bursts into the bridal suite makes such amazing getting ready photos of the bride. It was just unreal!
I took Chase next door to the old western saloon and there was beautiful light ever where. When I setting up a shot I’m always looking for reflections.
The Balcony that stems from the “secret” bridal powder room makes for a great first look. Thats right I said “SECRET ROOM” you will have to go and see for yourself.
The white gazebo looks amazing with all the green ivy that surrounds the courtyard of the hotel.
